During April and May, he will take this hero vegetable, one of the British spring season’s most anticipated and celebrated crops, and serve up some showcase dishes starting with:

Experience the spirit of our rooftop garden

Introducing St. Ermin’s London Dry Gin, it’s beautifully smooth with an impressive provenance. Handpicked botanicals from our rooftop garden and honey direct from our beehives were delivered to the award-winning Hawkridge Distillers who then weaved their magic to create this refreshing and uplifting spirit.

This gin is infused with mint, lemon verbena, lavender, blue basil, geraniums and honey. These heady citrus notes give way to a juniper heart and a refreshing fruity late note all smoothed with our honey.

St. Ermin’s and Caxton Bar has a long association with gin, one our most famous guests, Winston Churchill, who enjoyed many a gin when working from the hotel, commented: “The gin and tonic drink has saved more Englishmen’s lives, and minds, than all the doctors in the Empire”.
